Whitefriars School is a member of the Heathland Whitefriars Federation, a multi-school converter academy trust with 1420 students on roll, comprising Heathland and Whitefriars schools in Harrow. In recognition of the federation’s outstanding leadership (OFSTED 2010, 2012 and 2014) and high performance (Whitefriars school is in the top 100 schools), the government fully funded us to open a new secondary section making Whitefriars a fully integrated 3 to 19 school.

This is the second year of a very exciting journey, one that has been carefully planned and eagerly anticipated for several years. With our new state of the art building and experienced and well-qualified staff, we are now offering our first group of year 7 and year 8 students with the best possible start to their secondary education.

We are committed to ensuring that every student aims high, excels in learning, feels valued as an individual, lives by positive

shared values, makes a genuine contribution and leaves us ready for higher education and the modern world of work.

Our curriculum is broad and balanced. Students develop mastery of essential higher level skills in English, Mathematics and Science, a language and humanities and we provide exciting learning opportunities in art and design, technology, sports, drama, computing and music. Our extensive facilities include art and drama studios, modern science labs, a large music centre, digital media studios, a well-equipped sports hall, spacious theatre, class-leading facilities for catering and horticultural science and an attractive dining area. We also offer every secondary student their own iPad to manage their learning, timetable, home learning and feedback from teachers.
